Im blogging all this on a lazy saturday night. yeah - imagine this saturday night and im home not partying and jus enjoying the essence of life!
yes, u must be thinking why is sharmaine at home when shes suppose to be at the beer festival? unfortunately for my friends and i, we were unable to get tickets for the train this weekend to tsing dao as everyone wants to go too for the beer festival and thus tickets have been sold out. i wonder how that happen when supposedly tickets are suppose to only be release for sale 3 days before the date of departure. perhaps the train ticketing system had upgraded? perhaps perhaps. but its a real pity i cant make it. then again, theres always another chance, next year, another time to do so yeah? :)
last night was eventful, i downed down 4 tequila shots and had fun after being dormant for such a long time. unluckily for me, the night ended pretty early at 230 when my room mate ended up not feeling so well and wanted to go back. of cuz i didnt want to leave her going back alone either so yep! im very responsible a person to be hanging out and clubbin with as i take one home and make sure the others are safe :) aights, self praise aint praise.
anyhow im hoping that charlie's daddy is able to get the mamma mia! tickets. we both realised that theyre in beijing and i think it'd be awesome to catch such a musical here. i like charlie's daddy. hes really intriguing to talk to, has plenty to share with me and makes good company. so this really interesting topic came up when the musical topic was brought up. WHY china doesnt have musicals done in dual languages? according to him, it seemed that the japanese were the inventors of this successful approach. hmm, it'd really be awesome to have dual languages for a musical or a theatre production as it really builts up the atmosphere, brings the theatre production on to another level of playing field in its industry and also adds more meaning to it. u'd be how amazed if u were bilingual in both languages that were used in the prodcution, that actually theres a vast difference in the expression and meaning. somehow meaning really does change a little over translation and some stuff like a name can change so much? (yes silly charlie, watching TMNT hearing mikey in chinese phonical expressions instead of the english version - what u grew up to know to be the right way of saying mikey)
so today was ever fantastic. its the first time i shopped till my very last penny. literally.. i bought lots of bottoms tonight. i was like some bottom devouring beast that kept looking at jeans, jeans and more jeans.. hehe.. im a jeans lover and im tryin hard to beat my roomie's record of having 17 jeans! haha, till now i have about 6 jeans back in singapore? and i jus bought 2 more today. if my cash permitted and had i more time to cover more ground, i would have bought more today! dam!~ but alls good, am really happy with my purchases today. something really queer hit both me and kristel as we were shopping in the wu dao kou shopping centre. it was how sudden the goods in the shops had change within a short span of one week. the clothes are jus way different, in styles, in colour themes and all - perhaps that comes with the benefit of living in a country with 4 seasons. im such a mountain tortoise. hopefully in a few years to come i would be able to see the world, see snow for the first time in my life, take my diver license and go diving around the world...... the list jus goes on..
anyhow JJ was telling me to keep some money aside to buy a spare laggage. he thinks that i would be needing it. haha! did i tell u how much my boyfriend looks up to the way i spend money shopping for countless clothes and shoes.. haha! like how they always put it. put a woman in a shopping centre her eyes seems to cover like 360 degrees of her surroundings, eyeing any good buy that comes her way and getting it if her card hasnt maxed out or if she still has what little cash there is left in her wallet. put a man in a shopping centre, he sees only sayyyyyyyy 90 degrees of his surroundings. haha, the most amazing thing is that we women can be talking and still looking out for any nice buys that suit our style and our budget. ahhhhh! and to think i missed the best part of the year to be in singapore - the GSS (Great Singapore Sale) the second time in a role that i missed it and my sis is reminding me of that fact plus adding salt to the wound with her current purchase of her new grey skinny mango jeans. URK. confessions of a shopaholic!
oh yeah, another 15 days before im back in singapore? how awesome can that get? please get all your wishlists ready - i'd try to buy and fit it in and pray hard that there will be no excess baggage charges. also for all your duty free purchases that u require me to get for u, kindly get a rough estimate or idea of the price (if possible) and transfer the money to my bank account POSB savings 107-45098-0. sorry, this lady here is pretty broke and shes gotta slog her life away the moment she touches down on singapore soil so that she will have enough moolah to meet elaine for lunch, go out with friends for movies, go cindy's place to play mahjong for the sake of touching those dam tiles (they miss me sooooo! oh hong zhong xiao mei!) and of cuz go out with my baby for dates!
sunday will jus be a very lazy day for me, i'd be doing my laundry - so technically it aint that lazy! i will also have to prep for my language class thats gonna be on monday followed by getting all my energy up for my business class that day. its a new professor and stuff.
and so very true, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger.
